Life is full of surprises
Some days will be good
Others will just end up bad
Are your dreams impossible
Will they come true
No one will really know
what will happen
Only time will tell
Everyday things will change Things won’t be the same
One life ends
As another life
begins
Someone will be laughing
As another sheds a tear
Some friendships will end
While others last for years
Don’t let anything
bring you down

Cautiously,
I walk towards
the full length mirror,
Scared of what
I might see.
I gape and realize
there must be a glare,
Only deep inside
I know it's me.
But what happened to
those elephant thighs?
What happened to
that double chin?
Who is this girl
with laughing eyes?
With that mocking grin?
Is this me, or is this a lie?
But the mirror
does not deceive.
Could this image
really be me?
