Sr Margaret Solon
Dallas, Texas
"The race car picture was taken at Indy 500
Speedway. Bobby Lazier let me use his winning car to "win" my
race."
"According
to my Dad, I received my vocation on a tennis court or in a swimming
pool, since these were the only places the Lord could have found
me. Find me God did! And I've been busy being and becoming an
Ursuline for sixty-three years and counting. "
"My
vowed life challenges me to a faithful response to our covenant:
-loving with an unconditional, all-inclusive love (chastity) -receiving
all as gift, possessing nothing (poverty) -giving the Holy Spirit
control of my life (obedience)"
"In
every one of my ministeries, being with people excites and energizes
me. That is what I find so great about football (with the Dallas
Cowboys), baseball and rich liturgies. All these events for me
are best enjoyed as a participant at a stadium or in a church.
I do enjoy reading and get very excited about the new trends in
religious life and in science. What a great time to be alive!"
