don’t know just how long it’s been since I went on my own
I guess I’ve
grown accustomed to living life alone
I packed my things up early and I
turned my shoulder cold
Now I hear my Shepherd calling me to come back

knew there was a place for me somewhere in God’s plan

see the place for me was back where I began
I carried my resentments in a
heart that wouldn’t hold
And all the while He called to me to come back

The years have not been kind to me, It’s a miracle I’m still here
The journey’s not as easy as it first may have appeared.
The years that I spent wasted weren’t always wasted time
I learned
a few good lessons, not the type I had in mind
Guess I had to learn the
hard way, I never wanted to be told
Now I hear my Shepherd calling me to

Mary was barely
a woman, a fair maiden in her teens,
Betrothed to a man working wood
with his hands
She would be happy behind the scenes.
An angel named
Gabriel met her, announcing the heavenly news
She would have a baby boy
to bring the world joy
He would be the king of the Jews.
And Blessed
is she who believed that there could be
fulfillment of the word of the
Lord.

The couple set
out for Judea, what a trip it must have been,
Mary in bloom, they could
not find a room
but in a stable the Baby came in.
The child was
destined for greatness, shepherds and kings came to see
But Herod saw red
and the family fled
and from the desert the Son came to be.
Blessed is she
who believed that there could be fulfillment of the word of the
Lord.

The child she
bore was admired and crowds of people followed Him round
They waited for
guidance, but in their defiance
They led Him away fully bound.
She
offered no doubt, self, or question; she let this be done through His will.
She offered no help or suggestion; she only kept quiet and still.
Watching her son at a distance, knowing she could not defend.
She
suffered His loss & was there at the cross
and remained with Him
until the end.

Step Into the Light (A Conversion) mp3

There were a
bunch of coalminers diggin' through a mine,
Tunneling to who knows where
until it's quitting time
They never see the sun because they're hard at
work all day
They never see themselves because they're happy where they
stay
They spent a
few years hanging in the darkness that they made
Knowing nothing but the
space in front to lay the spade
And a funny thing did happen when some
of them broke through
and caught a glimpse of sunlight and knew not what
to do
Some of them ran back into the tunnel with a scare
Darkness is
much better than the things that are out there
Still other just remained
before the opening and stood
paralyzed by caution as if they were made
of wood
But a handful pressed on forward to attain the newfound end
The strength of darkness overcame the ones whose doubts did bend
But
one would not be shaken by the fear of darkest night,
He said "I wanna
sparkle like a diamond when I step into the light."
I will not be
distracted,I will not bow to fear
As long as the light guides me, I'll
make it throught to hear
the songs of all the angels giving glory at the
sight
And I'll sparkle like a diamond when I step into the
light."
It wasn't all
that easy as the darkness crept away
They noticed just how dirty, their
skin was deepest gray
The smell was not good either, offensive to the
nose,
soot and dust and ashes ground deep into their clothes.
But a
few of them kept goin' and the cleansing had begun
the light provided
water to each and every one
But fewer still would come out smelling
sweeter than a rose
They just could not remove the dirt that was under
their nose.
One said, "I
will not be distracted, I will not bow to fear
As long as the light
guides me, I'll make it through to hear
the songs of all the angels
giving glory at the sight
and I'll sparkle like a diamond when I step
into the light."
Now I'm the
only coalminer to come out of the mine
I ask you now to join me here, the
water is just fine
Forever I will stand before the heavens shining bright
And now I sparkle like a diamond cause I stepped into the
light.
I would not be

A man in his
late thirties passed me on the street outside the corner store
and said
"I know you from somewhere!" He tapped his foot,
put his hand on his
chin, and stared at me for what seemed like a couple of hours...
scratched his memory through his thinning hair.
After a while I said
"I'm sorry sir, but I've never seen you 'round here before.
Still, nice
to meet you anyway." He just smiled all knowingly and said
"I've seen
you with a man named Jesus! I'm sure I'll see you on another day."
He
turned and went on his direction. I said "where can I meet with you,
and
talk with you again?"
He said, "You can find me up on the mountain. At
the foot of the cross I will be.
You can find me up on the mountain with
my Lord, my Lady and a piece of eternity."
I said, "Wait a
minute, wait a minute... what is this mountain place that you're speaking
of?
And forgive me, I don't even know your name." He said "I know you're
name is Joseph!
My friends call me Gabriel, I suggest you do the same.
You see, God has filled you
with a gift of his very own, VERY OWN HOLY
SPIRIT,
and He told me to tell you He loves you!
Learn how to use
that gift for the world and for His Glory,
and He'll reward you when
your time comes due."
I said, "what gift have I been given?? Where can I
reach you sir, and talk with you again?"
and he said, "You can find me
up on the mountain. At the foot of the cross I will be.
You can find me
up on the mountain with my Lord, my Lady and a piece of
eternity."
It's been 3
years past now since I first went up to that Holy mountain,
I can't
believe how things have changed.
I use that gift He spoke of as often as
I am able. The Lord has helped me re-arrange.
A woman in her mid-twenties
passed me on the street outside that same corner store,
and said, "I
know you from somewhere! I got it! I got it! I saw you at a conference
in
Chicago about a year ago. You'd look much better with much shorter
hair!
Do you know what gift I have been given? Where can I reach you sir,
and talk with you again?"
I said, "You can find me up on the mountain.
At the foot of the cross I will be.
You can find me up on the mountain
with my Lord, my Lady and the peace of eternity."

I had no
answers to soften the blow, but I guess that they weren't mine to
give.
All I could do was offer my ear and open my heart to the ones left to
live.
And I knew my sorrow was nothing compared to the wound where the
sword pierced her soul And she kept herself on her son's dying day from a
question she fought to control...
Where were the
angels to guard and protect him, keep trouble away?
Where were the
angels, the angels that day?
From what I
know of angels, I've come to believe that they never fail in the end
They
work for the Father and His mighty plan, sometimes in ways that we don't
understand.
And though those around her gave in to despair, the truth
carried her through her pain,
Amid all of the mourning and tears that
were there, she tried her best to explain...
Where were the
angels to guard and protect him, keep trouble away?
Where were the
angels, the angels that day?
I bet they
carried him swiftly on up to the foot of our Father's throne.
They never
left him, no, they helped him find his way home...
